Hello, I am Joe Oliver, and I’ll be talking about our competitors and the gap in the market within Grocery Applications.  
Currently within the Grocery Application Market, only 10% of our competitors have applications globally available. Secondly 50% of them have money saving features. It seems to be a  trend that these applications are at a decline as they are not filling the needs of their customers sufficiently. Competitors like Key Ring and Flipp focus on aspects that surround shopping instead of the purpose.  Everyday customers want to be able too Quickly and efficiently get  their shopping done while saving money at the same time. So we have created a Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis, which we will go into more detail later,  to display and go through what makes our application better than theirs, and the gap we have found within the Grocery Application Market. We have created different fields to judge these apps by. These Fields are,  Area of Use, Automation, Offline Accessibility, Money Saving, App Flow and the variety of choice it provides. 

Capi-tan 
Capi-tan is one of the bigger apps which only operates within the U.S. It allows you to create well organised lists, however none of the lists are accessible offline, meaning if you have no access to internet when at the supermarket, or shopping mall you wouldn’t be able to access your list. Once you are in the app, many Adults have found it difficult to navigate at times when they are not making lists, causing its app flow to be poor. Capi-tan has location-based notifications, but it isn’t the best. The best parts within Capi-tan is its good categories and the syncing of lists between people.

AnyList 
AnyList is in the top 10% of apps that are globally marketed, it has paid subscriptions allowing a range to a much wider choice of good feature, however what differentiates AnyList from SmartShop is our Automation and E-Commerce purchasing, with our Auto Generated list, created with Artificial Intelligence, we allow lists to be manually made and automatically, creating an even easier form of shopping and saving time for shoppers across the globe. AnyList also lacks features to allow the saving of money for their customer base. AnyList is our strongest competitor but we have found a gap in the marker they have not been able to find. We are more than just a Grocery List app, we allow online grocery shopping, allowing you to save money and spend a significant less time making lists, as our app helps automatically create them with your help. 

Flipp, is only really considered a shopping budgeting apps, it doesn’t have a grocery list and after an update in 2017, it has been unstable and hard to use. It isn’t available offline, is only available in Europe and America and a simple Newspaper can be used just as well. 

KeyRing has a similar situation to Flipp, its unstable and is now considered unusable for many. The main feature is loyalty cards in a form of a key ring. They have a simple list making feature, but this app lacks a lot of features and is nothing in comparison to Capi-tan, AnyList and SmartShop. 

Now as we have discussed the differences between applications, it is obvious the gaps in the market. We have found that none of them allow to shop straight from your list, online. This allows many more user demographic to access our app and take use of it, not only that but we have created a much more automated process making your shopping done even easier. It is obvious from our superior features, our uniqueness and personalisation that we have found an area that has not been touched. Therefore, clearly showing how we are better than our competitors, and how we have found a gap within the market.
