Notes to help your Santa My absolute favourite things are to meet/ do things with friends, cook, calisthenics, playing games, read manga, listen to podcasts since not a long time ago and watching mainly Youtube videos. Since a year I watch movies with a friend because I missed on so many good ones, did not watch any classics or else had no real time to watch them. Else I enjoy the small things, for example the best thing about gifts is the extra card with something heartfelt written on it. It can be really everything but that little piece of words always gets me. It is that spice, that little kind of kick to round the dish and make it tasty. Every piece of gift card is stored or presented right in front of me on my pin board. A card makes always the whole experience much more wonderful. That is also the reason why I try to communicate as much as often with my giftee/ Santa. I very much like manga/ graphic novels and comics. I have some in my collection and want to further them even more. For some I also have the plan to get the Japanese originals just to have the collection. I like to have merch and such of some of them but I am also very picky or opinionated about it. For example, I am not really a huge fan of figurines and such but then again very much. Either they have to be one of my most liked things (JoJo, Green Lantern figurine) or they have to be in some kind unique and cool pose. I absolutely detest Funko Pops. Their little soulless eyes haunt me in my dreams but as they are, I can appreciate their reason of existence. They are cheap and have a very broad cast of characters to choose from so every fan of anything can get a figurine. But I find them very lacking in design and some older ones look exactly like/ have no real difference to other pops. As for collection one thing comes in mind; I have a few comics (Green Lantern, The boys, Invincible) and one of them is Watchmen which I really love. I want to get Doomsday Clock and Before Watchmen because I very much like both Geoff Johns and Alan Moore. Also I liked The Boys and want to get more of the omnibus collection sometime in the future. I already have some here and there and many things I also have my eye on some more. Maybe something more about the JoJo part as to describe it better for understanding. My most favourite fiction is JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. It is really quite literally a bizzare adventure story. For one you have a normal story of "Defeating evil and saving my loved ones" and on the other side you have 2 guys having a bug fight with the cheating help of their imaginary friends, getting a gun pointed at oneself from a blank piece of paper or a crazy stalker feeding her captured and tied-up soon-to-be boyfriend soup made out of little notes of exam questions for a better learning experience. And that isn't even anything special. How about the President of the USA fighting a paraplegic jockey, a clergyman, a nun and a dinosaur with the help of a train made out of light and his big magician bunny persona, just to obtain the power of Jesus which soon enough results into his demise and a gay vampire with time stopping abilities has to get to Jesus first. I don't even know if everything stated was real or just a fever dream of mine and that is why I love JoJo so much. The stories are so good, the characters are strangely deep and understandable and the art is beautiful. The whole ecosystem is just so interesting, the memes are (mostly) great and the cosplayers of JoJo are the ones I seek the most on conventions. And on a side note: I only consume media in English language (or rather the original language, subtitles in English if needed), everything from videos, scripts and texts. If you need more information, just ask me. I can write much more, if it is needed. Hobbies Cooking: I really love to cook. In my possession is everything you could imagine so I don't really need anything here. My next things to get are either to expensive or more a personal tool to choose. I'm also not really a cooking book kind of guy and would only make online recipes. The only book that might come in mind is Dessert Person by Claire Saffitz. Gaming: I really love indie games the most. More a passion projects with a divers small groups of people than a cash-grab dumpster fire with every major release now (new GTA remaster having so many issues, Cyberpunk a huge mess of unfinished work due to bad working practices and so on). My favourite games are - for example - Hades, Undertale, Hotline Miami, Bioshock, Dead Cells, TBoI, Hollow Knight, Gunfire Reborn and so many more to count. I could list even more games, but let me describe more about the topic. I really love games and only play on PC. My last console was the Wii ages ago and since I don't have a real urge to get a console. There are some exclusives I want to play but then again I could always ask friends to let me play these games. Also I mainly play indie titles so there is no need for me to get a console. I recently upgraded to a PC from my laptop and my god the difference is huge. I came from the stone age and finally arrived to the future. Manga: I love them I really really do. I started naturally by watching anime but nearly fully migrated to manga. The feel, beautiful art and artistic intention is much more potent in them which is the reason I don't really have the need to watch anime anymore. There are some titles I watch or want to watch, but they are the ones near and dear to my heart. Cosplay: Sadly, this year everything was cancelled so there was no chance of meeting friends, fans and the community as a whole. I don't really get into much more cosplay anymore due to being it a very expensive hobby. I just reuse the ones I have now.
