At approximately 9:00 AM, Irk Flufferson called the Comfort Town Police Department to report a missing item under mysterious circumstances. According to Mr. Flufferson, he had gone to bed the previous night, wearing his favorite pair of woolly mammoth-patterned socks. Upon waking up this morning, he discovered that his right sock was missing.

Mr. Flufferson assured the officer that he had taken no trips out of bed during the night, thereby ruling out any ordinary sock misplacement scenarios. He suspects "foul play" in the disappearance of his beloved sock.
