Concept Story for Trassig, The One Who Opposes: When the cultists had blessed Aeola and migrated elsewhere in Europe, the Cultists were ordered to grow and raise a lineage to aid Aelis for generations to come. And so, very few, but devout worshippers of Aeola existed across Europe. One such settlement in Romania, a boy named Liam was being educated about the religion's origins and his soon to be obligation. He was intrigued by how peculiar their faith was, and decided to have a pilgrimage back to their religion's origins. He found out about the sacrifices, and in a state of hysteria and lunacy, thought it was a joke. He went back to the village and told them what he found, only to be answered with "oh yes, those were necessary." His family was happy, they believed he was enlightened. But he was ******* losing it. Out of the last drops of pity, he just smiled and held it in for the rest of the day, and went back to the sacred grounds. There he found out about Velis. He talked with Velis, and was told the darker truth of the religion; Velis must suffer, carry all the pain that Aelis could receive. But he was also told that they were merely children being used as pawns by the old cultists, that wanted to keep Aelis as their own. Velis was cursed with a tarnished God Device that infected her flesh with otherworldly demons. She's quite literally in the worst pain imaginable, all the time. The most Velis could have done was drag the twisted cultists down to her tomb. But the cultists would always offer their first born to Velis to keep her from eating herself dead. Her hell must always go on. Velis had tried with every remaining fiber of her humanity from eating children, so she could just die and reincarnate as anybody else. But the children were (almost) always taught to enter her giant demon flesh themselves. The last child she had eaten, was the only one to have acted like a sane child. But she had known, there was no chance for him to live. So she just ate him as quickly as possible. Still in horrific fashion, but quickly as possible nonetheless. Liam was offered a choice, a completely free choice: Pretend this never happened, play his role as an Aelis family Chief and live a life in ignorant bliss Or End it all. He went with option 1. 7 years later, when he turned 26, he finally had his first born daughter, he loved her dearly. Having nearly forgot what had happened by sheer trauma. But then the elders started "preparing" her. After she turned 8, she was basically free property for the old ***** to do whatever once a week. He noticed, and was sickened to his soul. He threatened them with death if they dare try violating her again. They obliged, and decided to wait for another Aelis firstborn to prey on After threatening them, he started remembering more what had happened with Velis. His body ran cold. But he tried to convince himself it was a dream. When she turned 10, she was set to be delivered to a location where she can fulfill her obligation as an Aelis worshipper. Liam decided to personally escort her, partly in case something happens, partly to try to fully remember what had happened back then. When they got there, it slowly began piecing together. And then the letter instructed her to enter a bouldered tomb. He remembers now. Liam's daughter, Aziza, was ready go fulfill whatever obligation awaited her inside. She was scared, but she was willing to do it to make Liam proud. Liam was paralyzed in fear. But Aziza misunderstood it as a father's tough love. He desperately tried to snap out of his paralyzation and save Aziza. Right as she entered the Tomb, he was finally able to scream out her name to stop her. But then the Tomb shut tight all of a sudden, and Liam could her the sound of grotesque flesh getting louder from inside the flesh. Aziza was scared as hell. Asking her father what's happening? Right as she was struck, Liam called out Velis' name to stop her, and opened the Tomb. Velis had already assimilated half her body in almost an instant. Liam begged Velis to spare Aziza. He swore that he'd end it all. He'll leave no believer alive. He'll even kill Aeola. Velis, trying to bargain with the demons inside her, decided to forge a binding blood contract: "If Liam can bring all 8 heads of the 8 Eldest Aelis worshippers to Velis, and the corpse of a girl the same age as Aziza, Liam will be granted the Tarnished God Device to stand a chance against Aeola, and Aziza will be revived. But Aziza's first birth will be cursed twins that will bear the Demon flesh that was used to revive her. Liam is free to either spare half-demon twins, or to kill them." Liam goes on slaughtering the 8 eldest, having to kill their guards and more to get away Aziza was revived, with all her memories intact. Liam was given the God Device to kill Aeola. Velis soon died, leaving behind a rancid mass of seemingly inanimate demon flesh. Shortly after, Liam wiped almost all of the worshippers' memories of Aelis. But a couple were accidentally not wiped. And they believed Velis has come for them, and fled. They'll go on to form the last devout lineage of Aeola. Liam started learning how to use the Tarnished God Device. And in that time, Aziza had a husband. Of course, Aziza wanted to give her firstborns a chance at life. But one day, one of the twins were taken by the Demon Flesh but were sealed into the Tomb by Liam. The demons didn't care, they got what they wanted, and were willing to bide their time. Aziza's remaining twin child, whom she named Velis, was spoiled. She had 2 more children, and since then, had lived a relatively normal life. Liam now hunts down Aeola across the ages. Knowing his limits, the best he can do is to gather more knowledge until he has a functional plan to beat Aeola for good. Of course, Velis, being an immortal half demon, decides to look for his grandfather, while protecting his siblings' and his own successors. For the fun of it, I want to make Half-Demon Velis a trans male Down the line, Velis' successors simply just become more physically stronger than part demon
