COVID-19 - In order to insure the cleanliness of your rental home, we have added extra disinfecting procedures. As a result we need to delay the normal check in time to 4pm. We also need to adjust check out time to 9am. We apologize for this inconvenience. We hope to be back to our regular check-in and check-out times by 2021. Please be patient on check-in day. We have added CDC recommendations to our housekeeping process. The additional disinfecting processes may cause delays in check-in. We are working as quickly as possible to insure YOUR health and safety. If you are missing any bedding items upon check-in, they are being laundered, for your safety, and will be delivered to your home as soon as possible. Again, thank you for your patience and understanding. Please bring ALL PAPER PRODUCTS, sanitizers and cleaning supplies with you. The Oak Island/Caswell Beach/Southport area is still experiencing shortages. Some grocery items are still difficult to find, however, for the most part, groceries are available. Check in begins at 4pm, for homes ready for occupancy. However, check-in may be delayed as late as 6pm on your scheduled reservation date while housekeeping is preparing for your arrival. A packet will be waiting for you at our office (8601 E. Oak Island Drive). It will include keys or key code and any parking and passes that may apply to your reservation. Please Note: If your rental unit has a keyless entry code, you may not go to the home until housekeeping has completed all cleaning and inspections. Going to the home prior to housekeeping completion will slow or stop the cleaning process. Please make sure to bring paper products (toilet paper/paper towels), trash bags, laundry detergents, dish soaps, dish rags, sponges, and other essentials you may need during your stay as they are not provided by Better Beach Rentals or the owners. Please make sure that you have signed the VRA on the Guest Portal/Extranet and have paid in full for your rental, this will ensure that your packet will be placed in the drop box for a smooth and easy afterhours check in. There is an after hour’s number available for any matters that cannot wait until the next business day. Once your rental has been released by housekeeping you may proceed to your rental located at 332 NE 55th St., Oak Island Please follow these BETTER BEACH RENTALS BASICS, and have a GREAT TIME AT THE BEACH! AFTER HOURS EMERGENCY CONTACT 910-538-4755 HOUSEKEEPING: We strive to have every home cleaned and inspected to meet our high standards. Once you have arrived at your property, please check cleanliness of the home. Please report cleanliness concerns within 24 hours of arrival so we may correct our oversights. Housekeeping will follow up with you to schedule a time. Housekeeping Office: 910-477-9060 MAINTENANCE: Please check appliances, lights, smoke detectors and plumbing to ensure they are in working condition. To report maintenance concerns, please call our office 910-278-1147. Our customer service specialists are here to help you. For homes with hot tubs and pools, they are serviced weekly. Please allow your hot tub to warm up for at least 2 hours after checking in. Pools and hot tubs are checked mid-week for sanitation and chemical balance. Remember, your concerns are our concerns. Please be patient with us…..Emergency situations take priority. REFRIGERATORS AND GRILLS: Please note that the refrigerator in your property may take up to 24 hours to cool food after cleaning and filling with warm food. Please DO NOT turn the refrigerator to max cool. This will only slow the cooling process. Grills must be used at least 10 feet away from the rental property. ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE: After you have moved in, if you find any damage, call us immediately. We know that even the most careful guests will occasionally have accidents. Please clean up spills as soon as they occur. In order for the Damage Deposit Waiver to be used, you are required to notify the office in writing concerning the accidental damage.
