Spring Semester 2024 had a lot in store for me. So let's go backwards from most recent to the beginning. 𝔖𝔩𝔦𝔡𝔢 𝔒𝔫𝔢: Pride and Prejudice. Had a ton of fun and was taught a lot of things. From learning to be THE Lady Catherine de Bourgh (which I feel super grateful and lucky to be a role in the first place) and the acting to be her, how the role of a swing works, how to put on makeup, and much more. Definitely an experience I would relive on certain conditions. Unfortunately, it did take a lot of time away from the events and things I wanted to do outside of rehearsals, which honestly is pure bad luck. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, was always super nice and caring to Mahtab and I, the swings, and I felt and still do feel appreciative and grateful of that, so thank you and great great work to everyone in the cast and crew! We pulled it off! Also special thanks to Lindsey, sorry for asking so many questions. 😅🫠 𝔖𝔩𝔦𝔡𝔢 𝔗𝔴𝔬: So much fun! The opening night celebration was so COOL. The pub felt so homey and AH– I just loved how it all looked like. Special thanks to Sophia, her sister, Jeremy, and Kerra for tagging along with me, I know it probably wasn't the most ideal place for us, but I'm glad y'all still decided to join. 🙂‍↕️ Now that I'm thinking back on it, delicious burger. And not because I was incredibly hungry before. The closing night celebration was also just as cool. I felt like I got transported to Morocco, huge blast being there! The food was good, had a fun time with some of the crew. Then the Grad Comedy Show. Genuinely could not determine who was the funniest. Everyone was funny in their own way and it was really interesting seeing the theme and tactic everyone went in trying to get some laughs. Great fun! I would pay to see y'all perform again. Congratulations! 𝔖𝔩𝔦𝔡𝔢 𝔗𝔥𝔯𝔢𝔢: MAHTAB. I'm so glad you were the only other swing, because I felt like it was the push that was needed in order for us to become friends. I'm glad to be your friend! I had such a great time with you over rehearsals! I expect to hang out with you so much more. Honestly, you were the only person there during rehearsals I felt 100% comfortable talking with (for obvious reasons). You also made the long rehearsal days feel shorter, I thank you for that. 😅 𝔖𝔩𝔦𝔡𝔢 𝔉𝔬𝔲𝔯: Karaoke was so much fun! It literally just happened but I thought it was great of an experience enough to share. Love all of y'all! 𝔖𝔩𝔦𝔡𝔢 𝔉𝔦𝔳𝔢: Bash. I'm glad I got to be a part of it. Met some great people! The last day of shooting was definitely the most fun. Blood, violence, and acting like a lunatic, the good stuff. 😅 Great job on everyone in the cast and crew! 𝔖𝔩𝔦𝔡𝔢 𝔖𝔦𝔵: Loving Lily. Only got to be a part of the first two days of shooting but they were really fun! Like Bash, I met some amazing people, and even got to spend it with Sophia (congrats on the role by the way 😅). The product that came of it was so worth the waiting and extra day we had to film. Lot of fun fun fun! Great job on everyone in the cast and crew! Thank you to Kaia! 𝔖𝔩𝔦𝔡𝔢 𝔖𝔢𝔳𝔢𝔫: Flicker. First short film/any sort of professional-esque film I did. I met some nice people and even got to work with Kym on it. It was a lot of fun, having a role and getting to do a stunt scene (barely 😅). Great work to everyone in the cast and crew! 𝔖𝔩𝔦𝔡𝔢 𝔈𝔦𝔤𝔥𝔱: SHORTS. First NCT production and honestly, a great one to first step onto, especially after only a couple day heads up. Working on PBIL was nice, rehearsals honestly did no help for me but I'm glad I went anyways. Working on Moments was interesting. And although I was on edge because of the uncertainty of how the show was going to play out, I still had fun and still felt grateful on being a part of it. Performing again after (then) a year and a half felt so good. And taking those bows felt so satisfying. Also thanks to Jeremy for being there (congrats on a role 😅) and helping get through tech rehearsals, couldn't have gotten out of there with a stable brain if it weren't for you. To all cast and crew, I hope I work with everyone again in the future. To the folks who did the cabaret, I HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN. I don't have the pictures, and I honestly forgot who has them but I'm glad I did it with y'all, and I hope to do it again next year. WE SLAYED AND WE SHALL SLAY AGAIN. To all the friends I made this semester, I didn't think I could/would make more friends. I'm glad I did though, it gives me hope in the world that there are more people in the world who tolerate me and give me a chance. I hope you feel the same way. Love y'all. This semester taught me a lot. Most importantly, it showed me that keeping busy is important for me. But to not work too too much. There were a lot of pros and cons this semester, but we made it through. Onto the next!
