Older adults with depression may have less obvious symptoms,
or they may be less likely to admit to feelings of sadness or grief.

It often occurs in adults whose ADHD wasn’t recognized or treated when they 
were younger. Developmental trauma can also have effects that can look similar to ADHD and/or autism.
The program itself offers each addict methods 
of addressing these three factors and overcoming their effects.
Above all else, drug addiction treatment 
should always be tailored to an individual’s needs and drug use patterns - addressing any co-occurring disorders,
or medical or social problems, that may be at play in the process.
While Ecuador’s substance abuse figures are lower than most other Latin American countries, still, hundreds of thousands 
of people in the country abuse opiates, cocaine, cannabis and amphetamine-type 
drugs and need drug addiction treatment. Opium use originated as far back 
as Egyptian times and use in Western cultures became widespread in the 1800s.

A liquid preparation of opium called laudanum addicted tens 
of thousands of people in Europe and America, and there was no cure.
